PRE-PURCHASE INSPECTION (P.P.I)
ARE YOU BUYING A NEW PROPERTY?
Contact Pest Control Dublin. We will conduct a pre-purchase inspection for you. With a Combined experience of 30 years our team have encountered many issues over the years that could have been flagged pre-purchase. The cost involved is small in comparison to the costly but preventable Pest Management bills later once the purchase is complete.
WHAT IS A PRE-PURCHASE INSPECTION?
A P.P.I is an inspection conducted on the property in question on behalf of the client (you). This is to
ascertain if there are any major problems. This inspection will tell if there are issues with rodent activity on the property presently or historically. To give you an idea of what we cover in the inspection. We have compiled a list of issues.
• Rodents (Rats / Mice)
• Crawling Insects (Wood Boring Beetle, Bedbugs, Silverfish and Flees)
• Drainage (Rodent Entry)
• All entry points throughout the property.
IS PRE-PURCHASE INSPECTION A LEGAL REQUIREMENT?
Under Irish law it is not a legal requirement. However, if there is an issue on the property left undetected and you have signed off on the purchases you could be landed with very costly inspection, treatment and repair work. The P.P.I will far outweigh the financial burden later. The following is a list of the pre-purchase inspections that we have carried out. Some of them you may wonder why? Well, the fact is if you are spending money on something you want the peace of mind knowing you have made a sound investment.
• Houses
• Apartments
• Airplane (yes you did read that correctly)
• Boats
• Commercial units
• Industrial premises
• Cars
ARE PRE-PURCHASE INSPECTION A WORTHY INVESTMENT?
At Pest Control Dublin we have witnessed the joy and happiness of purchasing your forever home only to discover that there is a problem. We have seen the joy turn to stress and anxiety due to a problem that should have been flagged before you purchased. Once the property is in your name so are the issues.
HOW DO I ARRANGE THE PER-PURCHASE INSPECTION?
Contact the vendor and arrange the inspection at a time that suits them, the buyer is liable for the full cost. Then we will do the rest. Once the inspection is complete, we will furnish you with a detailed report prior to purchase. Then at that point you can make an informed discussion.
