How belongings are handled
No items are removed without clear agreement.
Before clearing begins, we agree what should be kept, set aside, removed or discussed with a family member or representative. Where a decision is uncertain, it is better to pause and confirm rather than make assumptions.
Planned for Dublin properties
Older terraced homes may have narrow access, while apartment buildings can involve lifts, shared corridors, parking restrictions or agreed access times. These practical details are considered from the outset.
Client feedback
“I reached out to Elaine about a house clearance project that needed a lot of work and she was wonderful to deal with from start to finish. She has a great family focus, her approach was kind and respectful while balancing the need for efficiency in getting the space cleared. Work like this involving a few different services can have its complications but I’d have no problems trusting Elaine and Tony at Pest Control Dublin to get it sorted. Communication was excellent throughout the week, everything was done within the expected time frame and for a reasonable price. They’re a lovely team, I highly recommend them!”Lisa, Google review
A calmer, clearer process
How a hoarding clean-up is planned
- 1 Survey the property We look at the rooms affected, access, the volume of work and any immediate cleaning or pest concerns.
- 2 Agree the priorities We confirm the items to keep, set aside or remove, along with the areas that need attention first.
- 3 Carry out the work The agreed clearing, cleaning and pest support can then be completed in a practical order.

What affects the cost of hoarding cleaning?
There is no fixed package price, as every property and scope of work is different. A survey allows us to provide a realistic quotation.
- Size of the property and number of rooms affected
- Volume and type of items to be cleared
- Access, including stairs, parking and restricted entry
- Cleaning, hygiene or odour work required
- Waste removal, pest control or follow-up visits
We discuss the agreed work before providing a quotation, so there are no vague assumptions about what the clean-up will involve.

Hoarding cleaning FAQs
Is hoarding cleaning handled discreetly?
Yes. The service is handled with privacy, respect and a clear agreed plan. The focus stays on practical support rather than judgement, whether the enquiry comes from the resident, a family member, landlord or property manager.
Will you throw away everything in the property?
No. We agree what can be removed, what should be kept and which items need further discussion before work begins. Personal papers, photographs and sentimental belongings should not be removed without clear instruction.
Can you help landlords and property managers?
Yes. We work with landlords, managing agents and property managers where a home, apartment or rental property needs clearing, deep cleaning or pest support before inspections, repairs or reletting.
Can pests be dealt with during a hoarding clean-up?
Yes, where needed. If pest activity is found during the survey or clean-up, Pest Control Dublin can assess the issue and include appropriate pest control support in the agreed plan. Not every hoarding situation involves pests.
How much does hoarding cleaning cost in Dublin?
Costs depend on the size and condition of the property, the volume of items, access, waste removal and any cleaning or pest work required. We provide a quotation after surveying the property and agreeing the scope.

I initially phoned Elaine to explain that I had wasps getting in between the wall and a wooden panel above my sitting room window. Elaine explained the dangers of trying to treat the problem myself and advised that it was much safer to leave it to the professionals. She also explained that the wasps had probably started building their nest around February and that, due to the very hot weather, I was now noticing a significant increase in activity.
I booked an appointment and Tony arrived exactly as arranged. He explained clearly what he was going to do and advised me to remain indoors for the following hour, as the wasps would become very active once the treatment was applied.
Tony put on all the necessary safety equipment and carried out the treatment. I honestly could not believe the number of wasps that were actually there! There is no way I would have been able to deal with them myself, regardless of how much wasp killer powder I used.
Tony was extremely professional and reassuring throughout the whole process. He even said he would call back the following day to check that the job had been successful, which I thought was excellent customer service.
A big thank you to Elaine and Tony for their professionalism, expertise, efficiency and excellent service. The problem was dealt with quickly and properly, and I now have peace of mind knowing it has been taken care of by professionals.
I would highly recommend Pest Control to anyone who has a wasp problem. Excellent service from start to finish! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
